Terms of Service

SolarScout Pro is software for finding and qualifying commercial solar leads in the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Albania. It combines mapping data, Google Solar insights, Mapbox imagery and your account workspace so you can search an area, review rooftops, export lists and generate proposal documents.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your internal business purposes, for as long as your account is in good standing. We do not sell you the underlying map, solar or places datasets — those remain with their owners and are licensed to us (and through us to you) only for use inside the product.

Roof area, panel counts, kWh yield, CO₂ savings, payback, ROI and any price or quote shown in SolarScout Pro are modelled estimates. They are produced from satellite imagery, public map data and standard assumptions. They are not a measured site survey, a structural assessment, a grid-connection study, or an offer to design, supply or install a solar system.

Nothing in SolarScout Pro is a contract between LOCKSAFEUK LTD (or you) and a building owner to install solar. If you send a proposal to a prospect, you are responsible for making clear that figures are indicative until you have surveyed the site and issued your own contract.

Imagery can be outdated, incomplete or commercially restricted. A roof that looks clear on a map may have plant, skylights, shading or access issues on the ground. Always verify on site before you price a job.

You must provide accurate details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at contact@locksafe.uk if you think it has been misused.

Some workspaces require an invite or admin approval before full access is granted. We may refuse, suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, if a payment fails, or if we reasonably believe the account is being used to abuse the service or harm others.

Authentication is provided via NextAuth (email and password, and any other sign-in methods we enable). You must be 18 or over to create an account.

SolarScout Pro offers a free tier and paid plans (for example Pro and Agency). Current limits, prices and billing intervals are shown on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe.

By upgrading you authorise Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the selected plan and interval (monthly or annual) until you cancel. Taxes may be added where required. Plan features (scan limits, export, seats, proposals and so on) apply as described at the time of purchase.

You can cancel from the billing portal. Access continues until the end of the paid period. We do not automatically refund unused time except where UK law requires it, or where we offer a first-purchase money-back window as described on the pricing page (currently 7 days from the first charge — email contact@locksafe.uk).

If a renewal payment fails, we may retry the charge, email you, and restrict paid features until the invoice is settled. We may change prices with reasonable notice; the new price applies from the next renewal unless you cancel.

You must use SolarScout Pro lawfully and only on data you are authorised to process. In particular you must not:

• Use the service to harass, spam, or contact people or businesses in breach of PECR, UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or local e-privacy rules in the markets we cover.
• Scrape, bulk-download, resell or republish Google Solar imagery, Mapbox tiles, or other third-party content outside the product.
• Attempt to probe, overload, reverse engineer or bypass usage limits, authentication, or billing.
• Share login credentials, or access another customer’s workspace.
• Upload malware, or use the service to send unlawful, defamatory or infringing content via WhatsApp, email or any other channel we provide.
• Represent our estimates as a guaranteed yield, a certified EPC, or a binding installation quote.
• Use the product if you are a competitor scraping our methods, except with our prior written consent.

You retain rights in notes, outreach copy and other material you add to the workspace. You grant us a licence to host and process that material solely to provide the service.

Lead records generated by the product may include business names, addresses and contact details drawn from public and licensed sources. We do not warrant that any phone number or email is current, that the occupant wants solar, or that you have a right to market to them. You must run your own compliance checks before outreach.

The service depends on providers including Vercel (hosting), MongoDB (database), Google (Solar / Maps), Mapbox (maps and imagery), Stripe (payments) and, if you enable messaging, Twilio and WhatsApp. Their outages or licence terms can affect what we can show you. We are not responsible for those third-party platforms except to the extent the law says we cannot exclude that responsibility.

We aim to keep SolarScout Pro available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change or withdraw features, markets or data sources. If a change materially reduces a paid plan you are on, we will give reasonable notice or a pro-rata refund of unused prepaid fees at our option.

SolarScout Pro is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We are not liable for lost profits, lost leads, inaccurate solar estimates, failed installations, or indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that UK law does not allow us to exclude. If you are a consumer (unlikely for this B2B tool), your statutory rights are unaffected.

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time by emailing contact@locksafe.uk. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the product (with reasonable notice where practicable).

On closure we will delete or anonymise personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, except records we must keep (for example invoices).

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may still apply for injunctive relief in any jurisdiction. If you are an EU consumer, you may also bring a claim in your country of residence.
